Riding the waves on top of the world Life’s so easy when the skies are clear The secondhand clothes from secondhand stores never gave us anything to fear The storm’s coming fast now There’s nothing to worry about, we’ve seen this before But it looks like it’s getting bigger by the second And the doors are locked and we’re on our own Can we lose it tonight? Will it be gone before tomorrow? Can we lose it tonight? Oh, parting is such sweet sorrow The hurricane’s on and there’s no way out We had our chance to run away Now’s the time to hide under a cardboard box But we’re not done yet No, no, no, no! Can we lose it tonight? Will it be gone before tomorrow? Can we lose it tonight? Oh, parting is such sweet sorrow It’s over, it’s done There’s nothing to show There’s no battle we’ve won It’s over And I’ve gotta say that I’m glad that it’s done Can we lose it tonight? Will it be gone before tomorrow? Can we lose it tonight? Oh, parting is such sweet sorrow

Well, I suppose that I should just drop it. Drop you this attachment and everything. I know that it's no good for me and I know it's no good for you. But why would I do that? It's not like I can just go and tell a lie. But if you think that this is just an act, I hate to say it and I really hate to say you're wrong. If this kills me, if at the end of it all, I'm lying in a grave, was it worth it? Well, I don't know, can you please tell me? I'm afraid of what you're thinking 'bout me. Afraid I don't have the guts to just stay away. Having you around, but not having you beats no you at all. But it'd be best for you to stay away from me because at this point even I don't know what I'll do now. If this kills me, if at the end of it all, I'm lying in a grave, was it worth it? Well, I don't know, can you please tell me? So what can I do now? My weekend is ruined. My head and heart are both a mess. I won't drop off the face of your earth, but that text message turned my princess to a peasant. If this kills me, if at the end of it all, I'm lying in a grave, was it worth it? I don't know, can you please tell me?

Oh, I know this is not the way it’s supposed to be So why is it turning out this way? There’s something more at stake this time Something that’s got my head out of line If this is the way to lose you, I want out, can I get out now? I’ve seen this, I’ve been here I’ve done this before But somehow it’s so different this time But it’s not like I’m the first one to feel this Can I get a witness? I want out, can you get me out? I’m in a lose, lose situation It’s one that I can’t shake And I’ve gotta get out before my heart starts to break I’m in a lose, lose situation It’s one that I can’t shake And I promised myself that I’d never believe in anything this fake Oh, don’t tell me that there’s nothing there I know that you’re wrong when I run my hand through your hair There’s something here I want to keep And I promise you that I won’t leave Just tell me that you feel this I want to know you feel this I’ve seen this, I’ve been here I’ve done this before But somehow it’s so different this time But I know that I won’t let them win I won’t just give up quite yet I’m in a lose, lose situation It’s one that I can’t shake And I’ve gotta get out before my heart starts to break I’m in a lose, lose situation It’s one that I can’t shake And I promised myself that I’d never believe in anything this fake

All of our thoughts All of our hopes All of our dreams have led to this moment But if this was our dream Let’s wake up now before you leave Promise me you won’t forget Saying goodbye I don’t know how and I don’t want to learn Saying goodbye The forgotten art that cuts and burns Saying goodbye Just letting me know that you miss me will make it alright All of your thoughts All of your hopes All of your dreams would tell you to go now But if this is what you want, you don’t know if it’s worth the love and sleep you’ve lost I promise that I won’t forget Saying goodbye I don’t know how and I don’t want to learn Saying goodbye The forgotten art that cuts and burns Saying goodbye Just letting me know that you miss me will make it alright I want to wake up from this bad dream Don’t you know I hate all of the ones where you leave? I want to wake up ‘cause I think that this is becoming all too real for me We promised that we won’t forget Saying goodbye I don’t know how and I don’t want to learn Saying goodbye The forgotten art that cuts and burns Saying goodbye Just letting me know that you miss me will make it alright

I’ve turned my face to the sun And anyone who tries To avert my focus Is bound to notice that I’m not so easily swayed anymore Now I’ve got my mind in the right place I know my eyes won’t go Astray to the places That I used to stay When I thought that I just had nothing to do This is the… War of my life, I’m ready to fight And I may fail, but I will not surrender I’ve turned my face to the sun And anyone who tries To avert my focus Is bound to notice That I’m not so easily swayed anymore Every time I run, you catch me So what's the point in running anyway? And every time I hide you find me So I've given up on hiding everything This is the… War of my life, I’m ready to fight And I may fail, but I will not surrender And when my face hit the floor like it always seems to do You stood there, waiting to lift it again And as you stared straight into my eyes, I felt something change I felt your grace and warm embrace War of my life, I’m ready to fight And I may fail, but I will not surrender
